I’m so glad you’re here,  welcome to my page! My name is Tara, and I’m an English-German artist living in Japan. I love all things old, historic, and vintage fashion.

My vintage fashion journey started many years ago when I was a little girl. Growing up in London after moving from Wuppertal, Germany, I was introduced to the fashions of the 1940s. With the shadows of the Second World War woven into London’s present, it’s easy to be swept away by its turbulent yet fascinating history and culture.

One aspect of wartime fashion that I find particularly interesting is the sheer determination, or rather, the refusal to give up the joys of glamour even in such austere times. People have always found solace and strength in the direst of circumstances, and I hope to preserve that sense of joy and lightheartedness through my fashion illustrations.

As time has gone by, my imagination has been captured by many other fashion eras, and I hope to memorialise many garments to come.
